Cecil Robertson
Windsor Chair Maker

Cecil Robertson makes Windsor chairs that are historically correct examples of milk painted Windsor chairs made as they were 200 years ago. He also uses a natural finish on some of his chairs which allows the beauty of the wood to speak as boldly as the design.

Cecil designed his own adaptation of the Windsor Continuous Arm Settee, and it received a Blue Ribbon - Best of Show at the 2011 St. Charles County Fair and recognition at the annual St. Louis Woodworking and DIY Show.

In addition to Windsor furniture, Cecil makes heirloom boxes, wine racks, bowls and tables among other wood items. He enjoys using wood with historical significance to make keepsakes that will be cherished for generations. Cecil teaches regularly scheduled chair making classes.
